IP Allowlist#

Note

The IP allowlist is being implemented in early 2026. Please refer to JST communications for more information on the timing and process.

Axway Secure Transport uses an IP allowlist to control which external systems can connect for Client Initiated Transfers (CIT). CIT refers to when the vendor or trading partner initiates the connection to Axway (no matter which direction the file is flowing), instead of Axway initiating the connection to the vendor or trading partner. Only a portion of Axway accounts utilize CIT. This security measure ensures only approved IP addresses are permitted to initiate transfers to the Secure Transport service.

Requesting IP Allowlist Changes#

Any CIT connection requires the source IP address or range to be explicitly allowed. To request an IP to be added to the allowlist, you must open a ticket with JST by emailing jst-help@umn.edu. Please include the following information in your request:

  • The IP address(es) or range to be allowed
  • The name of the vendor or system connecting to Axway
  • The relevant Axway Secure Transport account

JST will review your request and notify you once the IP has been added.

Updating or Removing IPs#

If you need to update (add or remove) IP addresses from the allowlist, follow the same process: email jst-help@umn.edu with the details of the change. Always include:

  • The current IP(s) and the new IP(s) if applicable
  • The reason for the update
  • The relevant Axway Secure Transport account

JST will process your request and confirm when the changes are complete.

Important Notes#

  • Only IPs explicitly requested and approved will be allowed for CIT.
  • Changes to the allowlist may take time to process; plan ahead for new integrations or updates.
  • For questions or urgent requests, contact JST at jst-help@umn.edu.
