Request for Batch Scheduling#

Business analysts and technology staff who use enterprise systems (such as PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft Human Resources Management System, and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) must request managed batch scheduling from the Job Scheduling & Transfers team (JST) in the Office of Information Technology (formerly called the Production Services team).

The University uses a product called AutoSys to manage batch scheduling.

Submit a Request#

Contact JST via jst-help@umn.edu to begin the process of requesting your batch schedule be created or altered. This email will automatically generate a ticket. The ticket will be used to manage your request.

If this is your team's first request with our team, please indicate this in your ticket-generating email. There may be initial setup steps required to onboard your team to AutoSys.

JST generally tries to accommodate working your TDX ticket as soon as possible, but please allow for several business days.

Information required for a Request#

If this is your first contact with our team your ticket-generating email can include your best effort at providing JST with all information necessary to meet your batch scheduling needs. JST will work with your team to build up an understanding of how to work with JST on a more regular basis.

After your first request, we request that you submit information for altering your batch using our team's template spreadsheet. More information on this template and the custom autojil tool used to generate/process the template data can be found here.
