Getting Access to the Axway Admin Website#
University community members who need the ability to review Axway file transfer configuration setup and file tracking log information can get Read-Only access to the University's TST and PRD instances of the Axway Admin website (access to one grants the other). Accessing the Axway Admin website is not required for a team to use Axway to accomplish file transfers, but it is recommended. Initial access for your team to the Axway Admin website will be done on an opt-in basis based with a ticket to JST jst-help@umn.edu requesting onboarding.
Access to Axway will be controlled by membership in Grouper groups. During your teams onboarding process, you can either designate using your team's Autosys Grouper group or JST can work with the OIT Grouper team to get you a new Axway-specific group setup. Note that getting new groups set up can take a few weeks sometimes, depending on the Grouper team's availability.
Upon being added to a relevant group, group members will be provisioned in Axway by an automated, overnight process. Therefore, access will not be immediate.
JST maintains a mapping (see table below) between group membership and a concept in Axway called a Business Unit. When a user logs into Axway, they will only be able to access data for Axway accounts that are set up as belonging to business units to which the user has been granted access in Grouper. Each group that is set up will have business owner(s) designated who will have the ability to update membership in the group via the Grouper website themselves.
The data in the table below is currently just a made-up example for illustrative purposes.
Axway Business Unit | Grouper Group to Grant Access |
