Optional - Migration on Schedule

By default, a CR is created to use the "Migration based on approval" option. This means the objects will migrate to the next AutoSys instance when the JST migrator clicks the migrate button. However, if you want to specifically schedule the day/time of the migration, you can optionally use the "Migration based on schedule" method. No matter which option you choose, you will will still have notify the JST team that you are ready for us to prepare the CR for migration.

When this method is used ACCE will instead hold off and wait until the chosen date/time to automatically initiate migration. The CR will be put in a status of "Migration Scheduled" to indicate the migrator has done their part, but ACCE is waiting until the scheduled time. No emails will notify you that migration has occurred.

After selecting the "Migration based on schedule" option, a new set of fields will display for you to edit.

Set the fields as follows:

• Schedule = Daily
• Date = Date you want the migration to occur
• Time = Time you want the migration to occur. Note - the hour field expects 24-hr values.
• Time Zone = Central

After picking a schedule, click the Next button just to the right of the fields within the blue banner box labelled "Scheduling for Next Environments." This will allow you to set up the migration method for the migration between QAT and PRD.

The migration options are always able to be changed after initial submission by the requester or the reviewer. The screenshot below shows the location of the link to change migration options.

Note

You will need to Assign the request to yourself in order to successfully alter the migration schedule for a submitted request.

Upon clicking the link, you'll get a pop-up window to selection options, as shown in the screenshot below.
